Having qualified in 2001 I set out to make a difference to people. Having had two road crashes at the age of 17 and had various injuries and stress along the way myself, I did something about it. I returned to the Northern Insitute of Massage on 2015 and did the advanced course and met some magical people including one extremely highly placed man in the osteopathic and physiotherapy world and also a Japanese therapist who simply made my work click and what was a job became an absolute love of what I do. I gained further confidence and understanding which along with my ability to sense and feel things, took me to a new dimension in my life and treatments. I feel equipped to understand pain emotion and how our bodies work to maintain and recover and how big being able to relax our bodies is, be it physically, mentally and indeed both. The course in 2015 complimented my initial Remedial Massage course at the Northern Institute of Massage in Bury. I have worked tirelessly over the last 23 years and will continue to offer my clients the best of my knowledge and care, to offer you your own plan of treatment to obtain the best results. I'm highly approachable and above all else I keep in mind what was said to me by the Principle at "The Northern" Eddie Caldwell, "Don't cause any pain". Those four words are fixed in my mind when it comes to clients. You can't be in peace if you are in a fight.
Remedial massage is a form of therapeutic massage that focuses on treating physical ailments caused by injury, tension and poor posture. It is a very useful way of reducing stress and giving one the time to rest and breathe. I have a wealth of experience, gained over more than two decades as a therapist, in assessing and treating the human body using various techniques. My aim be it your first or at any ongoing maintenance sessions is to bring relaxation, and then be in the position to do what I can to help alleviate pain and discomfort, improve mobility, reduce inflammation, and reduce stress. Massage can help improve circulation and reduce muscle fatigue. Remedial Massage is often used to treat sports injuries, chronic pain, and joint stiffness but it is a method of treating many different ailments and to maintain nourish things as we go along in life. It is tailored to each individual's needs and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. I have gained a wealth of experience through courses, personal circumstances and the people I've met along the way. Massage combined with tools I have such as spinal mobilisations, understanding and compassion of my clients needs are necessary to place me in the position to help. I offer my Massage Therapy to be enjoyed and to offer you the best platform going forward to recover and maintain the best health mentally and physically. Allowing for the condition you present and tenderness, I will not cause any unnecessary pain on my Massage table. I do not believe that is acceptable.
